Wiegers E.J.A.

Eveline Janine Anna Wiegers was born on the 24th of October 1995 in the Netherlands. After finishing secondary school in 2013, she started studying Medicine at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. She obtained her BSc in Medicine in 2016 and started a Master of Science in Health Sciences, specialization clinical epidemiology, at the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences (NIHES). She completed this MSc in 2018, resulting in various publications in the field of general trauma and stroke. In April 2018, she started a PhD project at the Department of Public Health of the Erasmus MC. In 2019, she spent some time abroad at the School of Medicine and Surgery, Milano Bicocca University, Monza, Italy (Prof. Guiseppe Citerio), Neuroscience Intensive Care, Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Milano, Italy (Prof. Nino Stocchetti), and the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre, at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia (Prof. Jamie Cooper), under supervision of Professor Jamie Cooper. In June 2020, she continued her medical studies, which she aims to complete in 2022.
