De Marchi L.

Dr. Lorenzo De Marchi received his Medical Degree from the University of Milan in 1995 and graduated in Anesthesia & Intensive Care in 1999. Starting in 2001, Dr. De Marchi spent two years as a research fellow at the National Heart & Lung Institute-NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA. He then completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, followed by a residency in Anesthesia at Georgetown University Hospital. After graduating in the class of 2007, Dr. De Marchi joined as faculty at Georgetown. In 2016 has been promoted to the rank of Professor of Clinical Anesthesia. At Georgetown, he works as an adult and pediatric Transplant Anesthesiologist and covers the Director of Transplant and Thoracic Anesthesia. Dr. De Marchi is certified in Advanced Perioperative TEE, and his main area of interest is the utilization of ultrasounds in the clinical anesthesia practice.
